150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda will be celebrated on January 12, 2013. For the celebration of the same in the whole of North Bengal, a celebration committee has been constituted. The committee thus, observed Sankalpa Diwas at Thakurbari Mandir. With a hope of rapid overall development of the country, Swai Vivekananda from 25- 27 December 1892 meditated. After this he highly publicized the culture of the country at different countries. He also played a vital role in curbing the social evils in the nation. This day is regarded as the Sankalpa day in present times.
