The foundation stone for 3 kms long road at 16 Mile area was laid by the 37 No Constituency GTA Sabhasad, Kalpana Tamang. A religious ceremony of cracking the coconut preceded the function. The road will connect Pagang Shivalaya with Himul Centre situated at East Payong. The construction works has also been initiated today itself. The initial phase of the work includes side cutting by the dozers. Around 1000 people reside in the area and the road will also link with the Sardeshwari School. Along with benefitting the area people, the road is also expected to come of help to the students studying in the said school. Most benefitted will be the farmers who can now take their produce to the main market.
