The historical Triveni Mela which took its birth in early 60’s will kick start from Sunday. Every year the Mela is organized at Triveni, the confluence of Teesta and Rangeet on the occasion of Maghey Sakranti.

Rafting, traditional programmes, music night, DJ night, etc will be witnessed in the five daylong Mela. The GTA Sabhasad Ramesh Lama is said to inaugurate the historical fair amid great fanfare.

The organizing committee President Madan Chettri said that different programmes will be organized on respective days of the Mela. Attractions like dragon train, Chitrahaar, break dance will also be available. Different local artists of the Hills will also perform in the Mela, he informed.
