The final match of the 1st Sangey Dorjee Bhutia (Shipai Bajey) Memorial cup was held today at the 17th mile Bijanbari playground under Payoung gram panchayat unit. The tournament which was organized by the local youths started from December 20, 2012 where 14 different teams had participated. In the match, the Navnirman Sangh defeated SSS 17th mile by 5-3 to lift the trophy. SSS player Laxuman Ghimeray was adjudged as the player of the tournament. The day also had the presence of the family members of Late Bhutia. The tournament was aimed to attract youths in games and sports. The cash and trophies were handed over by the chief guest DR Bhutia.
