The GJM has decided to boycott the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly. Informing about the same the Kalimpong MLA Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri today said that the Morcha does not feel that the budget session holds the any importance.

Commenting over the current situation of the sub division, Dr. Chettri said that it is the responsibility of the local police administration to keep the situation under control. The administration needs to be rigid he added. Dr. Chettri advised the police to arrest the culprits rather than arresting the innocent people.

When asked about whether the GTA agreement will be amended or not Dr. Chettri who is also the GJM spokesperson said that they will be complaining the center if the state government takes a step about the same. Further condemning Deepa Das Munshi’s statement of the Morcha not demanding Gorkhaland Dr. Chettri said that the GJM has always carried forward the demand wherever they have gone. “We have also handed over the book titled ‘Why not Gorkhaland’ to all those leaders whom we met,” he advocated.
