As per the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha’s (GJM) 3rd phase of Gorkhaland agitation, the employees conducted dharna at their respective offices during the lunch break. The dharna is being conducted under the aegis of the Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan (JKS). The offices such as the Sub Divisional office, Power Department, Food Supply department,KED, Municipality, PHE and others, witnessed the dharnas by their employees.

JKS President, Khadka Bikram Subba and Spokesperson, Hem Chandra Subba, speaking to the reporters informed that the dharna will continue till 27th March, 2013. They said that the employees have only one demand i.e. Gorkhaland, which has to be attained anyhow.

“The JKS is ready to face every hurdle that comes in the way of Gorkhaland formation”, they added.

The JKS has directed all its organizations to take part in the dharna, and every day the sit outs are being held in almost all the departments and offices.
