Rambi Police Post in its search recovered AK-47 and a duplicate 9MM pistol along with cash of Rupees one lakhs five thousand in a Scorpio vehicle. As per the incident, when the vehicle bearing registration number SK-01 E 3457 on its way to Siliguri from Sikkim was checked at Rambi Police Station in NH 31-A, the police noticed the weapons in its trunk. When the vehicle tried to flee the police chased it down and caught the driver. The police also found the money inside a bag beneath the driver’s seat. The driver has been booked under Arms Act section 28 and has been sent to court today.
