Hill literary body to confer two awards

A meeting of the Nepali Sahitya Adhyan Samiti was today held under the Chairmanship of the President MB Pradhan at the Samiti Hall in Kalimpong. The Nepali Adhyan Committee today announced the name of the
recipient of the Bhai Chandra Pradhan Memorial Award which will be given on the occasion of Bhanu Jayanti. This year Bhai Chandra Pradhan Memorial Award will be given to poet kewal chandra lama for
his poem ‘aakejhari’ will be honored with the award. whereas Samsher Ali of kalimpong will also be honoured by the Purna Rai memorial Award for his story ‘Master Mosai ’ on the occasion. The day marked the presence of the members of the Samiti.
