Today Kalimpong Science Centre for the  first time  organized a  inter school science drama competition on the theme of  Science & Technology, Nature & Environment, Health Hygiene at the hall of the centre .

Mr. P. Sada, WBCS, Executive Director, Dept. of Finance GTA was the Chief Guest were as  Lalit Golay and  Bikram Parajuli were present as the judges of the drama competition in which about 7 schools took part.The children presented many attractive drama based on the uses of science and technology.St Peter's School grabbed the first position along with best script,best direction best actor.

This is the first time in the history of Kalimpong Science Centre which organized this type of programme although Centre regularly organises other different types of programme after its inauguration.

Dr. B. B. Gurung,Head Curator of Kalimpong Science Centre told that science and drama have a connection in common.Visuals affect or play is the medium by which a student learn fastly and too understand the Science.

Distribution of Trophies of Sit & Draw Competition which was held on 5th June” 2013 was done today along with the winner of the drama competition.

Kalimpong Science Centre is the only one type in the hill of Darjeeling District and which is located at an altitude of 6560 feet and this is the only one Science Centre in India which is located at this altitude.
