The 2.55 kms diversion road connecting Sakyong to Madum a remote village under Skyong Gram panchayat was inaugurated by the GTA Councillor Dawa Lepcha in the presence of the Niten Chettri A.E, R.I.D.F. The important connectivity to meet the other end was lacking in the area which is located in Kalimpong Block Two therefore the RIDF took the scheme to connected the village which has never seen the road before. the inaugurated road will not only help transportation, but also for the proper medical aids and the agricultural products to reach towards the commercial state” Said Lepcha . He also thanked Hargovind Agarwal and Sunny construction who have completed the Scheme in a span of Short time. He said that this work is the first one to complete which has been undertaking in the RIDF 17 scheme in various regions.
