A finale of Chosang Dukpa Smriti Gyan Pratiyogita- a
singing competition organized by Bal Awaz Pariwar and Abhibhav channel
was observed in Town hall Kalimpong where 11 children aged under 14 were
selected in the previous rounds of the competition. Eminent
personalities like Colonel M.K Limbu, Anand Lokhotia a social worker,
Yogendra Ghatanay a musician and others were present in the program.
The
founder of the Bal Awaz Pariwar, Shiva Chettri said that the three hill
subdivision is the area where we can find adequate talents when it
comes to music, adding to that he said “we have always seen our kids
performing in national stages and to provide them the platform and
confidence we have arranged the program.” He also mentioned about
Prakriti Giri the top 3 contestant of chotay ustad in Amul Star voice of
India. “She is very famous as a singer and she belongs to the hills”
said Chettri.
However participants like Prajwal Biswakarma, Pratika
Biswa and Babita Subba stood first, second and third respectively.
People like Dr. Meera Sinha, Rekha Pradhan and Suren Rai who has
contributed for the welfare of the society were also felicitated in the
same function
