Gorkha Rastriya Congress a political party spearheading for the unification of Sikkim and Darjeeling/Doars have announced new program for its demand fulfillment. Today on occasion of Launching of party New Year Calender the party leader announced foot march from Darjeeling to Sikkim most probably between 10-12 Jan. P.Blone Organising Sec of the party today informed that the party will be celebrating its foundation day on 7th Jan in a grand manner at Darjeeling after which we will fix the date. Gorkhaland has just been an emotional aspiration used by many political parties to gain their personal mileage. We met many leaders of the Central Govt. who have clearly stated that they would support Sikkim Darjeeling merger if we bring along a public mandate. This is the only way out of Bengal so he appeal to people to join hands and leave Bengal adding he said The only solution to get freedom from the clutches of Bengal is to get Darjeeling back to its rightful owners i.e. Sikkim. Where  we can make a decision either to stay in a greater Sikkim or have a Gorkhaland.
