Kalimpong January 15,
2015:
Kalimpong Gorkha Body Builders and Youth Association Organized
(KGBBYA) a mass rally in protest against the brutal killing of 19 year old girl
named Nima Lhamu Bhutia from Sakyong, Pedong by her husband Mahabub Ali, a
resident of motor stand Kalimpong in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu few days back.
It was known that the couple worked in a beauty salon in the
southern part of the country after their step of a non acceptable elopement. A source
here said that Bhutia had a relative next to the salon where visiting and
talking to them crept the problem and adopted indifferent behavior in Ali which
later made him murder her.
Taking it as a woe and a loss of another female from
Kalimpong, 50 different social organizations and NGO’s participated in the peace
rally, in which more than 200 people snaked the hamlet from the town hall and
ended it in the same venue.
Later, the advisor of the association, Ravi Pradhan said that
the motive of the peace rally is to pay homage to the deceased who died by
believing a betrayer. He also demanded
that the departed one should get justice and the accused should be curved in severe
punishments. ‘The accused should be brought to the Kalimpong court and must be
presented in front of the people here’ said outraged Pradhan.
He also appealed the police authority and public through
Medias, Police to be strict in their duties and public to get united for a
cause-to stop crime in Kalimpong.
However a tribute giving ceremony will be held here in few
days where the memorandums will be submitted and circulated to all the
departmental heads in order to take preventions and precautions of the
increasing crime rates in Kalimpong, informed the advisor of KGBBYA
