A mental and physically handicapped person name Lila bahadur Rai(55) of Tanka Gau under lolay gram panchayat was dead after the room he was sleeping caught fire last night around 1 a.m. According to sources the Fire started from the Kitchen which was attached to Rai room. The house made of bamboo caught fire in no time and too set blaze the physically handicapped person whose remain were only found from the asses left. The family of the dead used to stay in nearby area who were in deep slumber . Only after they heard some noise outside they opened the gate and rushed but no avail. The two rooms and physically handicapped Rai remain were seen today morning. The area falls under Algarah Block.Panchayat officer and Disaster Management team reached the spot and distributed some relief item to Kins of dead. Meanwhile Kalimpong Police too reached the Spot. A Kerosine Lamp in the Kitchen is said to be the source of Fire.
