Lepcha para teachers interview held

Despite Morcha calling Strike on the regular interference in its jurisdiction , the fresh example is that of appointment of Lepcha Para Teachers in three hill sub division , today the interview of 92 candidates who passed the written examination last year was held under tight security.
Puneet Yadav, The DM of Darjeeling was specially present for the interview process where 4 candidate from Darjeeling , 11 from Kurseong and 77 from Kalimpong appeared for the 46 vacant para teacher post for lepcha language. Dress in traditional attire the candidate seemed relax. All the three room of SDO Offices were made the place of interview.
MLDB Sec . DI Siliguri , DM , SDO in presence of other lepcha language expert conducted the interview.
Massive police and CRPF forces was deployed outside the SDO office.
During the conduction of interview MLA Kalimpong and GJM Spokesperson along with Member in charge of GTA Prof. Kalyan Dewan made a visit to SDO office and spent about 15 min with DM. Amid Speculation of Revolt against the interference Dr Chhetri said that it was a courtesy visit to DM who has been transferred to Calcutta. He said that every tribe has the right to preserve their language. But on the other hand question the attitude of State government and said that each and every single point of regular interference has been discussed with Central leader in recent Delhi Visit.
