Criticizing Morcha’s protest in Jantar Mantar, Delhi, the District youth president of TMC, Bhupendra Lepcha believes that a protest is nullified when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself said that the Gorkhas dream is his dream.

‘What is the need of protesting in front of someone who dreams like the gorkha’s?’ Lepcha questions here in a press conference, adding that the representative of the hills or the Member of Parliament has no role in the Delhi protest.

‘I don’t think that three MLA’s are sufficient to protest in Jantar Mantar today or its not wise seeing them that way; they have a different role and place, when they once committed to talk about people’s problem in the assembly before they won the MLA election’ said Lepcha.

He also said that the leaders of the ruling party are still fooling the people and the public are now deceived, he later blamed the morcha by saying that their work was inefficient in the assembly and now and they are back of TMC’s policy.

‘The demand of tribalism was our strategy and it was TMC who approached the Chief Minister first, we work according to people’s aspiration, when people felt that they required the tribal status, we took that matter to Mamta Banarjee which was considered immediately and now the Morcha’s are running behind our policy’ blames Lepcha.

Another policy of TMC which was interfered by the morcha as Lepcha said, was the problem of the labors working in Tea gardens and their rights, the youth president strongly condemns that Morchas are going forward carrying their taken policies.

 

However, he appeals GJM to stop working by taking commissions, ‘the work meant to benefit the public should be fair and the representative of the people (MP and MLA’s) should be able to work efficiently, now do we know that they have done nothing to benefit the general public, they should be resigned without any delay’ said Bhupendra adding that no agitation is conducted by warming the chair and by filling the pockets.

He later said that the result of the Dellhi protest will bring nothing besides some sympathy. ‘They won’t come back with a concrete result; they will just return carrying the center government’s sympathy, added Lepcha.

Speaking in the same context, R. Moktan, the national spokesperson of Bharatya Gorkha Parisang commented on Morcha’s take of Delhi Protest when he said that the protest has no importance, ‘this time the MLA’ and MP should raise the issue of a separate state in the assembly and in the Parliament, unless Morcha gives up GTA there is no sight of Gorkhaland to be seen’ said Moktan.
