Hot seat of this election 22 Kalimpong constituency today voted peacefully  the overall total of 71.7%. Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri independent candidate and JAP party president cast his vote around 7.15 am from Chandralok  Govt Junior basic school while GJM Sarita Rai cast her vote from Pedong DI Fund booth this morning. Both of the leaders have assured their victory. Kalimpong Police and Election officer were seen damn bg the whole day as many places reported incident after which the police and arm personal rushed to the Spot. Kalimpong which has been a hot spot centre in whole Darjeeling hills have seen deployment of polling agent of both JAP and GJM party in whole 261 seat which have resulted in Fair election according to Candidates. The deployment of polling agent can see a tight fight between JAP and Morcha Candidate.Kalimpong Jap Party who have appealed mass to vote for Change and Kalimpong District issue while GJM have fight this election in name of Gorkhaland . Political Pundit have predicted Kalimpong seat to see very close fight. The margin of defeat will be quite low. Central Paramilitary Forces and Police outside Darjeeling District were able to conduct free and fair election. The Fate of all 5 contesting have been sealed in EVM which is expected to reached Kalimpong SUMI school till 3.am of 18^th April. Kalimpong witness massive thundering, lightning and rain for about an hour after 6 pm.According to information received from Darjeeling SP Amit P Jawalgi one  Sanchaman Subaa(50) of Kashyeam Fari has been aressted for Selling Liquor near booth . 

Kalimpong Constituency has 191210 registered voters and 137095 turned out to cast their votes.
