Kalimpong, 26 October:

Police have arrested a 67-year-old man on charges of alleged sexual harassment of a minor girl in Kalimpong.
The accused has been identified as Urgen Tamang (67) of Yogda Sangsey Busty under Kalimpong police station.
The victim, student of Class IX lodged a complaint with the police on Tuesday and claimed that he had been sexually abusing her since 2012.
The case came to notice of Childline Kalimpong after which the team reached the victim’s house and helped her file a complaint against the accused.
A case under Section 4 of POCSO 2012 has been registered against Tamang.He was produced before the Darjeeling Additional District Sessions Judge under POSCO Act today.
