JAP to take up Darjeeling ,kurseong water issue

Jan Andolan Party which has taken the issue of acute water problem
in hills have today declared that it is ready to take of the same issue in
Darjeeling and Kurseong. The JAP bureau committee meeting was conducted today
in which the decision was taken up.Speaking with the press JAP president Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri said" We filed a RTI regarding what steps are being taken by PHE Kurseong to curb the water problem issue on 5th Nov but the letter was not receive by Department and it came back to us recently, Kurseong PHE have violated the RTI Act of 2005 for which we are ready to knock the doors of judiciary in the case”.
He said the Department has clearly given a message by returning RTI query to prevent people from finding out the truth of the prevailing corruption happening in the department. He said RTI was filed in Kalimpong PHE too after which the negligence and corruption work came out. It was due to the agitation that Kalimpong town is getting water every alternative day added Chhetri. He appeal to the people of Kurseong to come forward and became aware.
Meanwhile Sandip Chhetri, JAP leader from Mirik has been
appointed as Assistant General Secretary of JAP bureau committee. The JAP party
regarding separate state issue said we have given a draft
bill for separate State to MP S S Ahluwaliya who is now a
Minister of State in Modi Government but he have not talk a single word for
Gorkhaland for which the masses have chosen him. Dr Chhetri added to put a
pressure JAP will stage a Dharna at Parliament as Morcha do not have the power
to ask its MP why he haven’t bought a bill for Separate State.JAP will also
raise the issue of NH10 and NH55. Meanwhile to raise Parcha Patta issue of
Cinchona and Tea Garden and Political Murders of Darjeeling the program is
being discussed to go to State he informed.

Anmol Prasad, Yusuf Simick, Party General Secreatry Nayan Pradhan, Prativa
Kumai from Womens Wing , Nawraj Pradhan etc were present in the meet.
