Effigy of Executive Engineer PHE department GTA burnt

After regular war of words between
the opposition Jan Andolan Party and PHE Department today JAP came on roads and
took out a rally on the water crisis of Kalimpong Town.
The water problem issue in Kalimpong town is sure to a main
political issue of all the party contesting. Today JAP rally was taken by its
Town Committee where Party President Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri along with many
party supporter and masses with photo placard of recently visited PHE Sources
showing negligence, leakages in their hand.
‘We want Water’ was the main slogan of the rally which
started from JAP party office and encircled the whole town but when the rally
reach Thana Dara few youth bought suddenly effigy of where A poster named “
Executive Engineer PHE department GTA” was written .
The poster was targeted especially to EE Anil Chhetri who
termed the allegation of JAP as baseless.
JAP Youth Spokesperson Amir Chhetri , said Our party did not
burn the effigy but the masses who were in anguish came out today and did
between our rally. He said the program will continue until and unless the water
problem gets solve.
Meanwhile Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri speaking to reporter said
“ JAP will continuously build up pressure on the department until the problems
gets solve. He said the main problems here are not natural but artificial for
which solely the GTA is responsible he added. PHE is a transfer subject to GTA.
We have given a month time to the Department , until we will continue our
program. If in a month times the department fails to solve the problem it have
created then we will take legal course of action he added.
