The Jan Andolan Student Union ( JASU) after winning its first ever College Union election have formed its Central Committee today. Just after three days after taking all the 10 posts of Kalimpong College the Jan Andolan Student Union today sat in a meet and formed its Central Committee with a vision of improving the educational system of Darjeeling Hills.

Addressing a press meet at Reporters Kalimpong Today The new body spokes person Main Prasad Sharma informed that Pravin Ghising have been appointed as the president of the Central Committee of JASU, Roshan Sewa as Vice president, Jyoti Chhetri as Secretary , Nordhen Lepcha and Adharsh Rai as treasurer , Samir Subba as Assistant Secretary along with members of Planning Committee, Executive members and Advisor.

Jyoti Chhetri the secretary told ‘the education system of Darjeeling hills has lost its glory and we want to bring back the same glory. We want our student be in top administrative post like IPS , IAS, IFS etc” She added that the Central Committee will visit Darjeeling , Kurseong , Mirik and many colleges to and sat with the Faculty , student and understand the problems first and then solve it.
