Celebrated Nepali literary figure from Kalimpong  Dr Rajendra Bhandari Nepali will be awarded with the 20th  Parasmani  Award this year. The Nepali Sahitya Adhyan Samiti  president Gyan Sutar announced the name of the recipient today after a meeting was held in the Samiti  in Kalimpong.

The award will be given on february 26 at a program going to be held at town hall .  Dr Rajendra Bhandari is a Nepali poet of repute. He holds a doctorate in Nepali literature from the University of North Bengal. He has published five collections of poetry and has won various awards over the years.

He was awarded the Bhai Chand Smriti Puraskar given by Nepali Sahitya Adhyan Samiti on 2010 .
