Allegations of corruption in Newar Development Board (NDB) has now emerged just a day after few individuals claiming to be members of Kami Development and Cultural Board cried foul
over the functioning of its chairman and vice-chairman.

Firoz Pradhan one of the NDB executive board members today alleged board president Sunil Pradhan not being transparent in his execution of duties. Firoz alleged Pradhan of manhandling him
when he reportedly questioned Pradhan for the reason behind not informing him about a board meeting on 30th March.

“I along with few other board members approached Pradhan asking him why we were not informed of the March 30 board meeting.

However, Pradhan along with his goons manhandled us” Firoz alleged. He said that an FIR against the accused was also filed on March 30 at the Sukna police outpost.

The NDB was allotted funds for construction of houses for 200 beneficiaries in Kalimpong but the board passed allotment orders for only 44 houses, Firoz informed.

 Meanwhile, NDB vice president Deepak Pradhan during a telephonic conversation corroborated the allegations leveled by Firoz against the board chairman. However, the chairman couldn’t be contacted.
