About 28 drivers of the St George’s Convent Pool Vehicle Welfare Association donated blood at the blood donation camp held today. A group form the Blood Bank of Kalimpong Sub Divisional hospital was present during the camp. The President of the Association, Dhurba Raj Pradhan, Secretary, Bikash Tamang, President of the Kalimpong Drivers’ Union, Tshering Dorjee Bhutia and other were present. Bhutia said that due to the insufficiency of blood in the Blood Bank people are mostly seen searching for blood at the Motor Stand. If every person becomes aware of it and donate their blood time to time then the situation can be curbed.
