The public of the hills are now questioning parties and the leaders on the decision of the government to deploy the CRPF and Para-military forces from Jungle Mahal till Darjeeling. The Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF) Coordinator, R Moktan today said that if the government has planned to send the forces to suppress the Gorkhaland demand, then it is a national level issue and it won’t take long to become an international issue. He added that if it happens so, then refendrum should be there to decide in which region this area will fall under.

Moktan informed that the GTF is thinking to call on an all party meeting in April to stress on the Gorkhaland demand. The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) will also be invited. Lastly, he added that if the state and the central governments are trying to hold back the Gorkhaland demand, then all the political parties and leaders of the hills irrespective of their political factions should come together to tackle them.
