ANNUAL DAY OF STRIKING LION ARMY PRE PRIMARY SCHOOL (SLAPPS)

Striking Lion Army Pre Primary School
at Durpin, Kalimpong celebrated it’s annual day on 28 November 2013. The event started with presentation of annual
report by the Principal, Mrs Vineeta Sinha highlighting the various
improvements and activities undertaken at the School. The tiny tots of Nursery, LKG and UKG dressed
in their colorful regalia presented an array of cultural programme to include
dance, songs, fashion show and skit.
Each event was selected and presented with a view to convey a message to
the children and parents alike. The
fashion show presented the rich diversity of our great nation since the theme
selected was ‘States of India’. A heart
moving skit was presented which portrayed the futility of war and espoused the cause
of universal brotherhood which is the need of the day when at every corner of
earth conflict is on. Equally
magnificent was student of Nursery, Master Ishan Rana who is barely two and
half years old and displayed his memory power by excelling in mock ‘Kaun Banega
Karorpati’ answering all questions without using any life line. The dance and songs reflected the high spirits and energy of young ones.
General Officer Commanding of Striking
Lion Division was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He complemented the school management,
children and parents upon the wonderful conduct of Annual Day. He advised parents to afford quality time to
the children while letting the child enjoy childhood. He stressed upon the need to realize the
hidden potential of each child so as to be able to assist in their growth as these
children are the future of our country.
