GNLF Leader Maurice Kalikotey sent to jail

Kalimpong Branch Coordinator Maurice Kalikotey who was arrested
yesterday by kalimpong police was today taken to kalimpong Court for
production. Yesterday evening a person named Ruben lepcha filed a
complaint against him for demanding extortion . Lepcha in his complaint
has written that Kalikotey with 50 other GNLF party supporter came to
his place to and created pressure to buy a CD containing the speech of
Subash Ghising. When he denied he was given threat. Police has Booked
him under section 384 in this case and produced him before kalimpong
court where his bail plea has been rejected and sent for 14 days of
Judicial Remand. Today, vast amounts of Kalimpong GNLF supporters gathered outside the court . Speaking to journalist outside court he said that Sixth Schedule is best for darjeeling .we will have our own assembly . He added that party supporter are putting the party flag as this is their constitutional right .
