As the Hills is gearing for Block Bifurcation the revolt has started against this decision in Kalimpong. A few days ago kalimpong sub division office has sent a proposal for Block bifurcation adding 4 new one but the people of Tista GP has gathered and is ready to gear for yet another agitation .

Tista GP which was earlier in Kalimpong Block 1 has been given no place in kalimpong 7 Block instead Tista now has been Inducted to Proposed Takdah block with Rangli Ranglet PP as its Police area and under Darjeeling Sub division . This is the point For which Tista GP has today formed a New Block Formation Committee comprising of 30 member in total including 2 each from  from All the Four party TMC,GJM,GNLF,CPRM. This was decided after a long marathon meeting held in Tista under the banner of Fulbari sahitya samiti in which member from all the  party, ngo ,club was present.

The meeting first demanded to immediate withdraw the Decision and laid forward the demand to create a new block including all the GP of highway and its surrounding area. The main problem that Tista will be facing after they go to New Takdah block is of Vehicle as it is not a regular transport road. Takdah is about 30 kms away from Tista and the road approaching to it is worse and dangerous Said Bishal Rai Sec of the Samiti. He said that our heart and soul is attached to kalimpong which is just 16 kms away .When we go to kalimpong we can do many works in a day which is not possible in Takdah which already lacks development he added.Tista a important location in national Highway fulfill all the criteria of a new Block added Puran Lohar a resident of Tista. we have a high school a bank a post office a primary block health center etc added lohar.The newly formed committee will now meet the DM and GTA principal Sec on the 20th of this month for their demand.Tista people felt cheated when they were promised a Separate Highway Samasti in GTA which was later denied.Now the people has gear up and in no circumstances want to go to a new block that too in Darjeeling Subdivision.
