One Deepak Rai (38) was dead when the vehicle he was traveling skidded off the road at 7th Mile in N.H 31(A) . The area belong to Malli out post. According to incident the bolero vehicle WB 74 Y 4780 which was going toward Siliguri from Sikkim met with a accident and fell about 15 feet below the main road at 1 a.m overnight. Kalimpong Fire Brigade team was rushed overnight for the rescue operation which recovered 10 passenger safely but Deepak who died on the spot was stuck badly in the vehicle as the sun rose in the morning the rescuer with the help of gas cutter took out the body and sent it to kalimpong hospital for autopsy. The dead belonged to Sonapindi under Khoribari P.S.
