The state government has begun withdrawing central forces in the hills in a move that is being taken straight after Bimal Gurung took oath as GTA chief  and the Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (GJM) reverted to the GTA. Today B company of 50Th Battalion of  CRFP deployed at Algarah Kalimpong block 2 moved towards another destination towards the plains. The force was camping in the area since August17 during when the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) sponsored indefinite band was in the offing.
Sources have told that the forces will be deployed at Jalpaiguri where 6 people  were dead due to a Bomb Blast that took place on 26th of this month.
Still Kalimpong town has one company of CRPF personal stationed at regulated market.
