Today CHILDLINE Darjeeling Sub-centre Kalimpong and and Kalimpong Police conducted raid in a house situated at ring king pong road  and rescued two child labour . Tej Kumar Thapa (Child Release Officer from Bal Suraksha Abhiyan Trust), shila chettri, Ganga Sharma   & Kumar Thapa (CHILDLINE Darjeeling Sub-centre Kalimpong) with the help of  Kalimpong Police Station rescued after they received information from Darjeeling Childline help line number 1098 this afternoon . A 7 and 12 year old girl child  were rescued from same house today  . both were being kept as a domestic help . Today a FIR has been lodged against the employer under Juvenile Justice Act 2000 & Amendment 2006, Child Labour (Prohibition & regulation) Act 1986 and others.


After rescue CHILDLINE inform to Child Welfare Committee Darjeeling . At present rescued children sent to Child Rehabilitation Centre of Bal Suraksha Abhiyan Trust 8th Mile Kalimpong by verbal order of Child Welfare Committee Darjeeling . On 1st Feb rescued children will be produce before CWC Darjeeling as per the JJ Act. 2000
