About 60 family of Lower Tanek and Nunsang under 33 no constituency  the most remote and inaccessible area were lifted out of the darkness and given hope for a better future today . After never having electricity in their homes, they can now turn on solar lights and charge cell phones, an advancement that has kicked-off development for the entire village.


In Sep 2014, under the RGGBY the work for lighting the village was started which was finally completed today . thanks to the efforts undertaken by the  Gorkhaland Territorial Administration '

We welcome the effort on the part of GTA and GTA Chief Bimal Gurung to help connect the villages with what has today become a basic necessity of life said one of the villagers after switching on the pug for the first time.

Local Sabhasad Kazim Tshering Bhutia, Zonal Manager NE region Jaidev Banerjee, Executive Engineer Chudamani Rai and mass villager were present in the program today.
