A ration shop located near CST Fatal Kalimpong was gutted in a fire around about 1.30 to 2  am today .The shop belonged to Birendra Prasad who claimed that property worth around Rs 3.5-4 lakhs were destroyed in the inferno but the source of fire could not be ascertained yet.

After closing the shop the Shopkeeper went to his house at Sayapatri gau. The Shop was located in the ground floor of 2 storied building. The smoke of fire reached the upper floor house which wake them up and immediately searched the area from where the smoke was coming. The smoke and flames were seen from the shop and immediately the  shopkeeper got a call from a local informing about the fire.

One of the Fire engine was rushed to the spot until the fire in the  shop was more-less control by local.
