CPRM to hold a mass meeting on May 27th

With
the main aim to keep the Gorkhaland movement on momentum a mass public meeting
is said to be held on May 27, 2012 at Kalimpong. Speaking on the same the
Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxist (CPRM) Spokesperson cum Secretary,
Mohan Poudyal said that within the year they have tried to make the people all
over India understand the Gorkhaland issue. The CPRM has also conducted various
programmes regarding Gorkhaland at Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Kolkata, Delhi etc.
he added. The public of Kalimpong too wished for such kind of programme in the
town, hence the CPRM as per the wishes of the public is hosting the forthcoming
mass meeting, informed Poudyal. Through this meet the CPRM also aims in making
people aware of what the Party has been doing for Gorkhaland.
Further,
saying that the CPRM since its foundation in 1996 has been contributing for
Gorkhaland, Poudyal added that they are also trying to awake the Central
Government regarding the same. He also expressed his hope that the
Administration will do the needful during the CPRM’s mass meet. Lastly he
stated that one reason for this meet to be held is to raise voice against the
absence of democracy in the hills.
