JDSM brings home 16 medals from the 4th State Taekwondo Poomsae Championship- 2012

KALIMPONG, May 14:
The
10 participants from the Janki Das Subba Memorial (JDSM) Taekwondo Dojang,
Pedong Kalimpong won a total of 16 medals comprising of 10gold, 1silver and 5bronze
during the 4th State Taekwondo Poomsae Championship- 2012 organized
by the Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association (SATA) at Palzor Stadium Gymnasium
Hall, Gangtok on May 12, 2012.
A
total of 65 Taekwondo players of the State had participated but the team from
Kalimpong partook as the Guest Team during this Competition. The Main Coach of
JDSM and also the State Coach of Sikkim, Trilok Subba said that the Kalimpong
team comprising of the children from rural areas of Kalimpong gave excellent
performance in this State level Championship.
Robin
Rai clinched 3 gold, Tiwag Rinchen Tamang 2 gold, Ritesh Subba 1 gold, Avinash
Magrati 1 bronze, Aryawat Rai 1gold and 1 bronze, Anjali Rai 1 gold and 1
bronze, Ashish Subba 1 gold, Anil Rai I silver and Smita Rai 1 bronze.
