West Bengal Madhyamik results declared, yet again girls outshine the boys

KALIMPONG, May 29:
The
West Bengal Madhyamik today declared its Class 10th results in which
the girls outshined the boys with an overall pass percentage of 91% against 86%
to that of boys. As compared to last year the Madhyamik results of Kalimpong
Sub Division showed much progress. After tallying the overall results a girl
candidate has once again become the topper.
The
St Philomena School had 100% results with Rakshanda Gurung as the Kalimpong
topper with 80.29%. Likewise the Kalimpong Girls High School had 99% successful
results with 148 students clearing the Madhyamik out of 150. 57 students of St
Philomena and 31 students of Kalimpong Girls High School are 1st
division pass outs.
Topper
Rakshanda has been able to acquire 91% in Mathematics, 93% in Bio Science, 81%
Physics, 92% in English, 73% in Geography, 55% in History and 77% in Nepali.
Similarly, Sweety Kumari of Kalimpong Girls High School has been able to secure
the 2nd position with 95% in Mathematics, 81% in Biology, 80% in
Physics, 77% in Geography, 70% in History, 77% in English and 72% in Nepali
totaling up to 78.85% overall. Navina Chettri, another student of St Philomena
has secured the 3rd position with 77%.
Similarly,
the topper among the boys was from Kumudini Homes, Pranya Cintury with 77%
followed by Sahil Hussain of Scottish Universities Mission Institution (SUMI)
in the 2nd with 75.2% and Abhishek Sharma in the 3rd
position with a close 75.1%.
According
to the information received the total pass percentage of Kumudini Homes is 88%,
SUMI has 91%, Pranami Balika Vidhya Madir has 75%, Teesta Bridge High School
has 60%, Algarah High School has 88%, Pagang Gumpa High School has 80% and St
George Higher Secondary School has 99%.
