All Hill Star XI stands victorious against Share Football Club

KALIMPONG, June 02:
The
Share Football Club today hosted the 1st of its kind in the hills
Fund Raising Match between them (Share Football Club) and the All Hill Star XI.
Apart from fund raising the match was also organized in an aim to motivate the
local football talents.
During
the day’s match the All Hill Star XI defeated the home Club with 3 goals
against 1. The 1st goal for the winning team was put by Pailan Eroz
Kolkata’s player Dijendra Rai whereas the 2nd goal was delivered by
Southern Committee’s Nilendra Dewan. Amity United’s Imphung Subba succeeded in
putting the 3rd goal for the All Hill Star XI. Roshan Gurung’s lone
goal did not let the Share Football Club return with a nil.
The
Kalimpong MLA, Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri presided over as the Chief Guest for
the day’s event. During his brief address, the MLA appreciated the efforts laid
by the Share Football Club. Congratulating the Club on hosting such kind of
match, he added that this is the 1st time in the history of
Kalimpong that nationally acclaimed players are sharing the ground with the
local boys. This shall definitely motivate the local football talents, he
underlined.
The
All Hill Star XI comprised of national level footballers such as Mohan Bagan’s
Nirmal Chettri (also the member of the national team), East Bengal’s Captain
Sanju Pradhan, United Sikkim’s Captain Nim Tshering Lepcha etc. Earlier in the
day a match was also played between the United Veterans Kalimpong and Police
XII during which the United Veterans stood victorious with 2-0.
