GJYM’s relay hunger strike continues, agitation to be re- ignited if their demand does not get fulfilled

Similar
to the last 3 days, the Gorkha Janmukti Yuva Morcha (GJYM) today staged the
relay hunger strike. 5 Ward Couniclors of Kalimpong namely, Dinesh Tamang (aged
53) Ward No. 7, Anand Garg (aged 44) Ward No. 3, Prashant Singh (aged 36) Ward
No. 21, Jayan Lepcha (aged 54) Ward No. 4 and Indra Kumar Gazmer (aged 32) Ward
No. 17 today partook in the said strike.
It
may again be mentioned here that they have been conducting the relay hunger
strike opposing the Shyamal Committee report which they feel have been
humiliating for the Gorkha Community. If the GJM’s demand is not fulfilled then
they have even cautioned to re- ignite the agitation.
