Ward Councilors partake in the relay hunger strike

KALIMPONG, June 17:
The
Gorkha Janmukti Yuva Morcha (GJYM) protesting the Shyamal Committee report
reinitiated the Gorkhaland agitation by putting up a relay hunger strike which
entered its 3rd day today. Today’s episode of the said strike at
Damber Chowk witnessed the participation of 5 Municipality Ward Councilors
namely, Kundan Baniya (aged 35) from Ward No. 4, Pradeep Prasad (aged 32) from
Ward No. 9, Ravi Pradhan (aged 40) from Ward No. 10, Barun Bhujel (aged 37)
from Ward No. 14 and Suman Thapa (aged 30) from Ward No. 23. Other Ward
Councilors were also present during today’s strike. Posterings were also
