GJM President to campaign for remaining 17 seats in GTA election

July 15:
Though
the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha has already set up their stands in the Hills but they
have decided to swipe all the remaining 17 seats in the upcoming Gorkha
Territorial Administration election which is scheduled to be held on July 29.
The GJM will clash with the newest party in
the Hills the ruling Trinamool Congress in the 9 seats out of 13. The Rimbik
Lodhama Darjeeling constituency unopposed candidate Prakash Gurung, Ratan Thapa
from the Mangpung constituency, Yougen Rai from the Kurseong town have reached
Kalimpong to assist the GJM candidates.
On
the other hand the GJM President Bimal Gurung who is also uncontested from the
Tukvar constituency will start the election crusade in Kalimpong from July 19.
The Gorubathan Branch which has 3 seats that includes 40 number Rongey Today
Jalanka, 44 number Samsing Kumai and 43 number Gorubathan constituency, the GJM
will face the TMC.
Combining
the above 3, the GJM President shall campaign in the Kalimpong Sub Division
said the GJM General Secretary Binay Tamang. Following the same on 20th
July the campaign will be held for the 42 number Relly Samther constituency at
Singey, on July 21 the meeting will be held at Nimbong for the 41 number
Nimbong-Gitabling constituency which marks trio clash, likewise on July 22, the
GJM meeting is scheduled for the 37 number Algaraha Dalapchand constituency,
and on July 23 the GJM President shall campaign for the 33 number Chibo
Tashiding constituency.
Tamang
also informed that the GJM President will then be marching towards Mirik. Following
the election, an election committee has also been formed at Kalimpong under the
Presidentship of Norden Lama and Binay Tamang as the in charge.
