The Gorkhaland Task Force which is opposed to the formation
of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration is all set to protest it as the
black day on July 18 which marks the one year of the singing of the tripartite
pact between the Centre, State and the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha.
The GTF Coordinator R Moktan talking to the reporters today
said that the GTA is a well-built barrier to the attainment of the separate
State Gorkhaland; it is against the aspirations and desires of the Gorkhas. The
different political parties which include the Communist Party of revolutionary
Marxist, Akhil Bharitya Gorkha League, Gorkha Rashtriya Nirman Morcha and
Bharitya Gorkha Parisangh will observe July 18 as a black day added Moktan. He
also added that massive postering will be conducted in all the 22 State where
the BGP has its grip.
A meeting combining the opposition parties and the
intellectuals will be held on July 27 to discuss on the map for the Gorkhaland
agitation which this time has the Terai-Dooars as the center informed Moktan.
Also commenting on the statement of the West Bengal Chief
Minister terming the Gorkhas as beggars, Moktan replied that the Gorkhas are
educated and talented, it’s not because they go outside to beg but to sale
their knowledge and education to the highest bidder in this competitive world.
He also alleged the Information and Cultural Department, Government
of West Bengal and the Nepali Sahitya Adhyan for not providing sufficient
knowledge to the Chief Minister which resulted many inaccuracy in her speech of
the Adikavi Bhanu Bhakta.
Moktan also informed that a meeting of the BGP
taking the West, Central and Eastern part of the Dooars at Kalachini is
scheduled to be held on July 21.
