KKKS to advance Court if benefits remained unfulfilled

Kalimpong, June 21
The Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan
Sangathan today said that they will approach the Courts if the small scale
farmer will not get their individual benefits under the NREGA scheme.
The General Secretary of the
Sangathan Bishnu Chettri today said that the Chief Minister and PHE Minister
had already order the District Magistrate to start the execution of the said benefit
by February. It was after 4 months of the order the District Magistrate had
written letters to the Block Development Officers for taking an accurate action
on the matter. But the Sangathan has alleged that the names of the farmers have
not included in the 2012-13 Action Plan. Alleging the same the Sangathan has
appealed the District Magistrate through the Sub Divisional Officer to include
the farmers to the Action Plan. The Sangathan also supposed that the farmers grievances
are turn deaf when they approach the Gram Panchayats.
The Sangathan has also appealed the
Magistrate to carve out the Supplement Action Plan releasing the benefits which
have been stranded for the last 5 years and if not they have threatened to
march towards Courts.
The schemes above includes irrigation
facilities on the farms, water conservation, horticulture, agriculture, fisheries,
sericulture, poly house etc.
