KKS holds large cardamom auction

June 30:
The
auction for large cardamom took place today during the Krishak Kalyan Sangathan
(KKS) meet. During this Spices Board of India, Assistant Director, Ramaling was
present along with exporter Ramesh Agarwal and Raghuvir Prasad Agarwal. Since
the past 2 years the auction of large cardamom takes place under the
supervision of KKS. Around 18 cardamom farmers from Pankhabari, Maipatey.
Shrikhola, Santuk, Kafer etc. were present during today’s auction. The highest
price quoted was Rs 710/- for the large cardamom produced from Kasim area and
the lowest price was Rs 650/-
