Parties to partake in GTA election are least concern for Gorkhaland

The
CPRM Kalimpong Regional Committee today conducted a meeting at the party office
in Kalimpong where they had the discussion on the present circumstances of the
Hills. The CPRM Kalimpong General Secretary informing the reporters after the
meeting said that the meeting discussed on the various aspects of the political
atmosphere that has turned up till date. The CPRM Kalimpong President Kishor
Pradhan on the other hand said that their stand on the GTA election is not
clear and they are not too worried about it and the meeting slated on July 1
and 2 will decide the party stand on the GTA elections. Pradhan also said that
after the 4 years of agitation for the separate State Gorkhaland, the GTA is
completely hard to digest which cannot be a complete system and management for
the people of the Hills. In the Siliguri Subdivision the fund has been enormous
without the agitation and the parties who are desperate to partake in the election
are not in favor of Gorkhaland said Pradhan. “Participation in the GTA election
or winning does not guarantee the attainment of Gorkhaland” added Pradhan.Tags: LOCAL
