Gorubathan public edified about legal help and facilities

To aware the public about the Sub Divisional Legal Service Committee, a seminar was held at the Juldnir School under Gorubathan Constituency today. The main aim behind organizing the seminar was to edify the public about the legal help and facilities. The gathering was also informed that if an individual is not being able to file complaint at the Police Station, then they can take legal help. The public especially the students were also made aware of human trafficking.
The Kalimpong Sub Divisional Legal Service Committee Chairman cum the Additional District Judge, A Bhowmick, Judge of Gorubathan Court, Basu, Judge of Kalimpong Court, B Das Gupta, DP officials, the GTS Sabhasad of the said area, Chandra Lama and members of Mark NGO were present.
Likewise, at the Gorubathan Court premises, a Lok Adalat was also conducted during which the Additional District Judge, A Bhowmick, Senior Advocate Bhutia and P Mitra presided over as the 3 member bench. During the process they sorted out the loan issues of the Central Bank of India, as a result of which the said bank could recover Rs. 30,000 then and there. It was also decided that the remaining amount of Rs. 9 lakhs 64 thousand will be recovered by the bank in installments. It has been informed that after the decision taken at the Lok Adalat today, both the parties cannot re-appeal the same at anywhere else.
