Sukhbir Subba conferred with Vocational Excellence award

District Governor, Dr Yogesh Verma today inaugurated the digital library at the
Rotary Club of Kalimpong office, situated at Upper Court Road. During the occasion
the President of Teesta Rafting Team, Sukhbir Subba was awarded the Vocational
Excellence award for his contributions towards rescue and search operations at
River Teesta and also to provide opportunities to the unemployed by the same.
The award is given by the Club to those who has contributed positively towards
the society. Subba was also presented a felicitation letter by the Club in
recognition of his contributions. Subba credited all the members of the Rafting
team for the recognition and said that the award is dedicated to them.A video prepared by
Subba along with KTV was also shown during the programme which made the
gathering emotional.
The District Secretary
of Rotary Club, Raj Bangar, Kalimpong Branch Rotary Club President, Dr DP
Pandey and members of the Club were also present.
