The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) representative Suk Bahadur Rai today handed over financial help to the family members of the rape victims at Dimapur. In the last couple of months three Gorkha women were raped and one was killed brutally in Nagaland.

In order to protest the heinous crime against the Gorkha women, the Dimapur Gorkha Union took out a mammoth rally in Dimapur few days back. GJM representative Suk Bahadur Rai was also present in the protest rally.

46-year-old Meena Rai was raped and was brutally murdered in the month of November at Nagaland, 4-year-old minor was raped in December 25, 1012 and another minor the 12-year-old girl was raped on January 1.

 In a programme held today under the chairmanship of the president of the DGU Kumar Subba, the GJM provided them with financial aid. One of the family member of the victim expressed heartfelt gratitude on the help provided by the GJM. She also informed that till date the state government had not even asked them.
