Training on cardamom plantation

 A training programme on the big cardamom for the farmers was held at the Indian Agriculture Research Center at 8th mile in Kalimpong. There were 15 cardamom farmers from the Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan Sangathan and the trainees reached up to 30 combining others famers of different organizations. The farmers were taught about the production of the cardamom, its ailments in detail. Dr Almondo Ghosh, Dr Deepak Nayak and Dr Amrita Das were present as the resource persons of the day.
The assistant director of the spices board R Ramalingam briefed the trainees about the organic fertilizers and the market of the cardamom. The farm manager RJ Mandal also educated the gathering about the facilities given by the board.
