A meeting of the kerosene dealers, the food and civil department officials, CPRM leader Tara Sundas, was held today held at Kalimpong. The meeting was held to discuss the issues concerning the issues of the kerosene which was in the news few days back.

The CPRM leader Tara Sundas after the meeting said that the kerosene distribution in Kalimpong has to be standard. Each individual must be provided with 800ml to 900ml of kerosene as per the directives of the directorate of the consumer instead of 600ml he added. He also demanded the department to take back the land which was given to Ganga-Bishnu Chandramal, a kerosene dealer. He informed that in the year 2005, Kalimpong needed 382 kl of kerosene but only 258kl was provided and it has been 264kl at present which is again 100kl sort.

The sub divisional controller officer, food and civil supplies department, Kalimpong, D Bariely commenting on the issue said that there has been increased in the population and the department is not getting the kerosene as per the requirements. He also said that an authorized person will be sent to bring the kerosene and he shall also scrutiny the adulteration of the kerosene. There is no provision of any block license said Baraily.
