Sundas demands training the public under Forest Department

Kalimpong, January 30:
Tara Sundas, the CPM leader, has submitted a memorandum to the Forest Department Manager, Samir Gazmer. During the submission Sundas informed the Manager that in different block of the plain areas, the Forest Department is imparting training to the forest villagers and the unemployed youths. Thus, a similar training programme should also be initiated in the hills, keeping in mind the increasing incidents of wild animals entering in the areas of human settlement.
Along with it he also demanded that the vacant posts laying the said department should be filled immediately.
Likewise, mentioning that the training which used to be imparted to the Rangers at Eastern Forest Ranger College, Kurseong, Sundas demanded that the training should be reinitiated.
Gazmer reciprocating to Sundas’s demands informed that a meeting of the higher forest officials is going to be held at Sukna, during which he assured of putting forward the demands. As far as employing the vacant posts are concerned, Gazmer said that there have been no orders from the higher officials.
